things are not black and white
no one is caught in the shades of grey
there is still a hint of hue-tinted to say the least
yes it has been said before in terms of spectrum
but sometimes these cliches just fit the situation
like when trying not to lose who we are and what we have
struggling to remain while still figuring what we need
worn and dull just wanting to be vibrant
just wanting to be defined
oh, how our human eyes perceive
if only to understand
it would be easy if we could be a receptor
so we could comprehend our own colour
